Simulation Engineer for Exhaust After-treatment System Simulations

Key Responsibilities
  • Catalyst application engineering – technology selection and product sizing and selection to fit customer emission abatement requirements
  • Responsibility for creating models and running simulations for catalytic components of exhaust after-treatment systems
  • Evaluating and updating the global model library for simulation software
  • Close collaboration with R&D to keep updated on and prepare models for the latest catalyst development concepts
  • Technical proposal preparation and submission, self-driven customer interaction (e.g. follow-up on open topics)
Requirements

You have a Bachelor or Master’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or similar relevant education. A strong foundation in catalysis and reaction kinetics. Experience with creating models and simulations using exhaust after-treatment simulation tools or comparable software is an advantage.

You have 3-5 years of work experience or post-graduate research in computer-simulation model development and application, ideally for reactive flows, most beneficial in heterogenous exhaust cleaning catalysis.

Experience with catalyst application engineering or catalyst product development for automotive industry is considered an advantage. You possess analytic expertise and a problem-solving mindset and are a strong team player with ability to work effectively in cross-functional/ international teams

You are fluent in oral and written English and have good verbal, written, presentation and communication skills. With experience and knowledge about Microsoft Office package.
