The Technician will work as part of the operations team being accountable for disassembling, cleaning and reassembling product. Diagnosing & repairing any issues found and support the business with staff / customer technical training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Disassembling, cleaning and reassembling product
  • Assessment, Diagnosis & repair of products
  • Report all results & findings.
  • Collate Reliability & Maintainability
  • Liaise with the engineering department conducting repeatability / validation testing & reporting for new & existing products.
  • Contribute and drive continuous improvement initiatives within department
  • Deliver materials/equipment/items to shopfloor/work areas as required
  • Ensure the health and safety guidelines are always followed
  • Produce work of a high standard by adhering to quality standards to ensure that product is produced to agreed specifications
  • Daily operational tasks to meet set KPIs
Requirements
  • Diesel product knowledge preferable but not essential
  • Automotive industry experience preferable but not essential
  • Able to work with hand and power tools
  • Perform general and detailed repair of diesel injectors and pumps
  • A good work ethic
  • Good communication skills, good level of English
  • Solve problems encountered during the process.
  • Pro-active, able to work using their own initiative

Safety

This position will adhere to Global Star Safety Program, including safety rules, practices and training as outlined in the PHINIA Safety Policy Manual, which includes the use of equipment, protective devices, or clothing that the employer requires. This individual will work in manners that stress the importance of preventing accidents and illnesses. He/she must take every precaution reasonable in the given circumstance for the protection of themselves and coworkers. In addition, he/she is responsible for reporting all injuries and/or possible dangerous situations, incidents, or occurrences to the immediate supervisor.
