External Communication Specialist

Key Responsibilities

To lead, manage and deliver all external communications, including media relations, PR, awards, corporate publications, and events.
To develop and maintain strong stakeholder relationships with key business areas and to provide an external communications advice and support service.
To plan, manage and deliver a range of high-quality corporate communications projects, to agreed timescales and budgets.
Manage proactive and reactive media enquiries, media releases, statements and briefings.
Build relationships with journalists and media outlets.
Working with and managing third party agencies.
Monitoring media activity for own and competitor activities.
Develop audience mapping and targeting strategies.

Requirements

3 Years + experience in public relations or marketing communications
Strong media relations skills
Experience delivering cross-functional communications programs
Outstanding written and verbal communications skills
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to deliver results to tight deadlines
